Home should feel like an exhale. At Maple Square Apartments, we reimagined multi family living through a hospitality lens creating a community where arrival feels intentional, shared spaces feel curated, and everyday routines unfold within an atmosphere of warmth and quiet refinement.
As residents enter the lobby, they are greeted by a sculptural reception desk framed by dramatic vertical slatted detailing and integrated lighting. The architectural backdrop establishes a refined yet welcoming tone, a deliberate balance between modern clarity and residential warmth. Light wood flooring, layered textures, and curated finishes create a space that feels calm, grounded, and thoughtfully composed - expansive yet intimate at the same time. The shared amenity spaces were designed to support the natural rhythm of daily life. Lounge seating clusters foster connection while preserving comfort and privacy. Flexible gathering zones accommodate remote work, casual meetings, or quiet retreat. Vertical wood elements and open shelving subtly define areas without interrupting sightlines, maintaining an open, airy flow throughout. A neutral palette enriched with warm wood tones, soft textiles, and sculptural lighting brings depth and dimension to the interiors, ensuring the spaces feel equally suited for relaxed evenings as they are for productive mornings.
The corridors extend the design narrative with a bold, contemporary edge. Deep gray accent walls create contrast and depth, framed by crisp black trim moldings that give each residence a distinct sense of arrival. Wall sconces positioned at every apartment entry cast a warm, rhythmic glow along the passage, reinforcing a hospitality inspired welcome. Large scale artwork punctuates the walls, adding visual interest and reinforcing the curated character of the community. Underfoot, the Layered Lines carpet pattern introduces subtle movement and texture, softening the architecture while intuitively guiding residents through the space. Throughout the project, every material and detail was considered through the lens of longevity and lived experience. Durable, high impact finishes were thoughtfully specified to withstand daily residential use while maintaining a refined, upscale appearance. Circulation paths feel intuitive, lighting is layered for comfort and clarity, and amenity zones are carefully planned to enhance both resident experience and operational efficiency. At its core, Maple Square Apartments is about intention how materials meet light, how circulation shapes experience, how design influences perception. By approaching multi family living through a hospitality lens and a strategic framework, Maple Square transcends conventional apartment living. It is a community shaped by intention - where perception, experience, and long-term performance are equally considered.
Industrial structure meets sculptural expression at Hyatt Place Long Island City. Located within one of New York’s most rapidly evolving neighborhoods, the design interprets the Hyatt Place Series 3 brand standard through a distinctly urban lens – grounded in materiality, art, and dimensional form. The building’s long, narrow footprint shaped the spatial experience from the moment of arrival. Rather than compressing the lobby, the design embraces its linearity – creating a layered procession that unfolds through light, texture, and focal moments. A double-height volume amplifies verticality, balancing the elongated plan and establishing a strong architectural presence.

Movement defines the experience here, but so does the need to pause. Located in New York City near JFK Airport, the hotel serves a dynamic mix of travelers, including frequent flight crews and international guests. The design responds to this constant rhythm of arrival and departure by creating spaces that feel composed, intuitive, and grounded.
