Translating a Coastal Day
The design strategy centered on translating a single coastal day into an immersive hospitality narrative. The palette unfolds like a coastal timeline. Morning begins in muted sea blues and sand tones. As the day builds, vibrant accents inspired by beach umbrellas introduce energy into gathering spaces. By evening, deeper contrasts ground the interiors, echoing the long silhouettes cast across the shoreline at sunset. Subtle references to the illuminated blue of the Indian River Inlet Bridge anchor the design in local identity a quiet nod to a place that guests may recognize instinctively.
Linearity in the millwork and furnishings reflects rows of beach houses along the sand. Layered textures recall dune grasses and weathered planks beneath bare feet. Rattan, rustic woods, and terrace inspired elements were intentionally brought indoors, blurring the boundary between exterior and interior so the hotel feels connected to its environment rather than removed from it.
