Embassy Suites Oceanfront Resort by Hilton
Myrtle Beach, SC

Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and framed by expansive shoreline views, the interiors of this oceanfront resort draw inspiration from the colors, textures, and constant movement of the surrounding beach landscape. The renovation reimagines the arrival experience, restaurant, and guestrooms with a contemporary coastal aesthetic that reflects the energy of the destination while creating a warm and welcoming environment for guests.

The Social Heart of the Space

At the heart of the property, the Coastal Bar & Grill serves as a central gathering space for both dining and social connection. A sculptural bar anchors the room, framed by warm wood and light finishes that create a natural focal point within the spaces. Seating is arranged to encourage flow and interaction, while layered textures and soft coastal tones subtly reference the surrounding shoreline, creating an atmosphere that feels both lively and effortlessly relaxed.

Coastal Calm, Cohesive Experience

The guestrooms extend the coastal narrative with interiors designed to frame the ocean beyond. Soft neutrals inspired by sun-washed sand create a calm foundation, while deep ocean-blue accents and timeworn wood tones introduce depth and warmth. Clean-lined furnishings bring a contemporary structure to the space, while patterned carpet and layered textiles subtly echo the movement of waves along the shoreline. The result is a bright, relaxed retreat that reflects the energy and color variation of the Atlantic coastline. Together, these spaces establish a cohesive design language across the property – one that balances modern hospitality with the natural beauty and vibrancy of Myrtle Beach, creating a guest experience that feels both elevated and inherently connected to its oceanfront setting.

A Coastal Narrative in Motion

The reception area introduces this narrative through a palette of natural materials and layered textures that evoke sand, driftwood, and shoreline grasses. Vertical wood slat paneling and largescale coastal photography establish a sense of rhythm and movement along the arrival sequence, while clean-lined furnishings and refined detailing create a modern, relaxed first impression.

Laconia Country Club Laconia, NH

A reorientation of space, sightline, and experience transforms the clubhouse at Laconia Country Club – shifting from a series of inward-facing rooms into a cohesive, light-filled environment connected to the golf course beyond.   From the moment of entry, a clear visual axis draws guests through the space, connecting the lobby, bar, dining areas, and enclosed porch into a continuous flow. What was once fragmented now unfolds as a sequence – each space linked visually and experientially, guiding movement naturally outward through the clubhouse.   Arrival is intentionally redefined. Rather than allowing the eye to drop toward the existing stair, a vertical accent wall establishes a strong focal point – visually grounding the space and directing attention forward. This subtle intervention creates clarity and orientation, reshaping the first impression without altering the underlying structure.

A sculptural canopy of more than 2,200 suspended glass pieces defines the space – transforming the lobby into a luminous gathering environment shaped by light, reflection, and local narrative.   Designed as a modern living room for extended stay travel, the lobby centers around a dramatic ceiling installation composed of translucent artisan glass in tones of stone, bronze, navy blue, and pale gray. Suspended above the bar, the installation forms a layered geometric topography that captures and refracts light throughout the space. Its presence shifts throughout the day, creating a constantly changing atmosphere across the interior.   The composition draws quiet inspiration from Needham’s iconic Blue Tree Lighting tradition, when thousands of blue lights illuminate the town common each winter, gathering the community beneath a glowing canopy – an idea translated here through form, light, and repetition.
